Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The Danai Beach Resort & Villas is perched on a hidden hillside on Sithonia in beautiful Halkidiki in northern Greece.

Rooms at the Danai

Luxury furnishings, marble bathrooms, plush bathrobes and beautiful artworks are just a few of the personalised touches found in each of the Danai’s opulent and elegant red-roofed Neoclassical suites and villas. They all have stunning views over the gardens and the Aegean - take them in from your private balcony or terrace.

For the ultimate indulgence, choose a pool villa, such as the White Villa, where you can dine on your secluded terrace, lit by mosaic lanterns, and enjoy the panoramic vistas from the comfort of your private infinity pool.

Food & Drink

The Danai's restaurants offer superb cuisine. Dine on the exquisite clifftop terrace, or enjoy a casual barbecue on the beach. The Andromeda restaurant offers delicious buffet breakfasts on the sun-kissed terrace, and fresh and delicious a la carte Mediterranean cuisine, accompanied by beautiful sea views. Meanwhile, the authentic Greek flavours and fresh seafood wow at the Antithos restaurant.

For a more private dining experience, book one of the few tables at the exclusive and award-winning Squirrel restaurant. Treat yourself to handpicked wines from the extensive selection in the rock cellar, and head to the bar for cocktails made with fresh fruit.

If you can tear yourself away from the relaxing beauty of the canopied sun beds on the private beach, the blissful spa offers a variety of holistic treatments, while the modern gym allows you to work out overlooking spectacular ocean views. There is also a superb outdoor swimming pool in the heart of the complex, as well as an indoor pool. There is floodlit tennis, table tennis and a nearby golf course for a particularly scenic 18 holes. If you are travelling with your family, there is an excellent kids club.

Activities at the Danai

Walk down to the foot of the cliffs to the pristine, private beach (one of the best beaches in the Mediterranean), with glistening golden sands and a charming bar. Offshore the fun continues with kayaking, snorkelling, water-skiing and diving - and you can set sail in the hotel's very own yacht, The Bird. Visit nearby islands and local wineries, and for a dose of local culture, explore the historic city of Thessaloniki.
