Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Baumaniere les Baux de Provence is nestled in the Alpilles, at the foot of the citadel of Les Baux-de-Provence.

Rooms at Baumaniere les Baux de Provence

The hotel’s luxurious rooms and suites are spread across five buildings: the main building is an elegant historic artist’s house called L’Oustau; next there is La Guigou, a picture-perfect country house; and tucked a little further away is the impressive Manoir. The charming Carita and Flora round off the list.

Wherever they are housed, no two rooms are alike: some have been renovated in a modern and contemporary style, with mosaics, marble and wax-finished paint in the bathrooms. Others have retained their rustic authenticity, with solid wood furniture and typical Provencal bathrooms with huge washbasins. Some have terraces looking out over the gardens, and there are pools outside L'Oustau, the Manoir and Carita.

Food & Drink

For all the beauty of its buildings and surroundings, and the luxury of its rooms, the food is the main attraction at Baumanière. With no less than two Michelin stars, the hotel's signature restaurant, L'Oustau de Baumaniere, is the result of a family's labour of love over several generations. The gastronomic menu offers fine traditional French cuisine made with fresh, organic ingredients, including vegetables from the gardens, alongside an impressive wine cellar of more than 50,000 rare wines - wine lovers can indulge further with expert classes and wine tastings. Combine with a cooking class for the quintessential French experience.

Meanwhile, La Cabro d'Or offers delicious seasonal dishes such as fresh fish, as well as irresistible desserts, and you can dine on the terrace.

Facilities

Take a dip in one of the pools, or relax on a poolside sunlounger. The spa, a unique space lit by floating lamps, is dedicated to facial, body and spiritual care, and offers a range of innovative treatments with a holistic and sensory approach, using local ingredients such as olive oil. Enjoy a massage in the gardens in the shade of the trees.

Activities at Baumaniere les Baux de Provence

The gardens next to La Cabro d’Or are home to tennis courts and a pétanque terrain, and you can borrow a bike for a scenic cycle ride in the Alpilles countryside, or explore on foot or on horseback. Visit the citadel and stroll around the streets and terraces of Les Baux-de-Provence, and further afield, follow in the footsteps of Van Gogh in Arles.
