Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Villa Meneghetti is in the historic town of Bale, surrounded by pretty countryside.

Rooms at Meneghetti Wine Hotel

There are just a handful of rooms and suites, guaranteeing privacy and seclusion. They have plenty of character, such as white stone walls, shuttered windows, exposed beams, wooden floors, antique furnishings, cosy fireplaces and colourful local artworks, alongside stylish bathrooms and beautiful views over the vineyards. Special touches include homemade chocolates.

Food and drink

The food and drink is exemplary here – dine on gourmet seasonal Mediterranean dishes that showcase local ingredients, including Istrian prosciutto, goats cheese, fresh seafood, truffles (which have been a delicacy since Roman times) and the estate’s own olive oil, and you can wash it all down with Meneghetti’s own red and white vintages as you look out over the vineyards they’ve come from (visit the wine cellar to find out more about them).

There are indoor and outdoor pools where you can enjoy a swim and soak up the sun poolside, and pretty gardens to stroll around.

Activities at Meneghetti Wine Hotel

The medieval town of Bale is one of Croatia’s hidden gems, with its picturesque winding cobbled streets and historic houses and churches, with a thriving gastronomic and arty scene and pretty beaches not far away, where you can swim and dive in pristine waters. Rovinj is also well worth a visit.
Explore the bucolic surroundings by going horse riding, hiking or biking. It is mandatory to indulge in food and wine tours while you’re here, visiting pretty villages and irresistible vineyards, and on your return relax on the terrace with another glass of wine or two, cooled by sea breezes from the Adriatic.
