Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Korcula’s oldest hotel, the de la Ville was originally opened in 1912. Renovated in 2015, it retains a sense of history, with its traditional, elegant décor and acclaimed waterfront restaurant, which remains one of the trendiest spots in town for locals to relax with a coffee.

Rooms at Hotel Korcula de la Ville

The hotel’s recent renovation means the rooms and suites look bright and fresh while retaining a sense of the hotel’s history, with traditional white-painted furnishings and deep blue walls mirroring the views of the ocean beyond. Some rooms have stone balconies over the sea, while suites are split over two levels.

Food and drink

Tavern Korcula de la Ville prides itself on the esteemed guests who have dined there over its 100 years of history, including Jackie Kennedy, Rebecca West, and Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson. The food is classic Croatian fare, with Dalmatian prosciutto, seafood buzara stews, and traditional Korcula pastries. In the evening, live music on the terrace welcomes you back to the hotel and accompanies dinner. There’s also a lobby bar and a café.

In the corner of the café is a small library corner, where guests can swap books. There’s no pool, but there are several pebble beaches within easy walking distance of the hotel. The friendly, helpful staff will happily help you plan excursions and activities.
