Most of Croatia has a moderately warm and rainy continental climate. The warmest areas are on the Adriatic coast, with high temperatures during the summer and milder weather during the spring and autumn.
The autumn is also a fantastic time for visiting national parks inland, such as Plitvice Lakes, when the woodlands burst into vibrant oranges and reds.
