Itinerary details

3 nightsSALZBURG

It only takes one day to fall in love with Salzburg, and luckily, you will have three nights in the city, where tradition and innovation walk hand-in-hand. Arriving into Salzburg airport and staying in the Hotel Sacher Salzburg, spend your mornings having breakfast in the hotel's fantastic terraced cafe, set along the beautiful banks of the River Salzach. Walk off your delightful breakfast in the Altstadt that will overwhelm you with its architectural heritage and return to the hotel via the chestnut tree beer garden of the Braustuberl for a delicious, locally brewed 1-Litre-Stein of Marzen (lager).  With stunning balcony views from your hotel, enjoy your evening looking over the river at the formidable Hohensalzburg Fortress.

Schloss Fuschl

After your three nights in the city, you will head for the hills to the area’s fabled Salzkammergut region. Used in the opening sequence of the Sound of Music, keep an eye on the scenery as we transfer you, 30 minutes in private car, to the 15th century castle hotel, Schloss Fuschl.  Once you have settled in, walk out onto the jetty and hop onto the wooden barge that will take you silently around the water for a better view of the spectacular lake. With the Golf & Country Club on-site, hire some clubs and walk across the breathtaking fairways to play a fantastic round of golf. Or, if you would prefer, spend some quality ‘me time’ in the paradisal spa and magnificent swimming pool.
