Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The Marlborough Lodge has an idyllic countryside setting, surrounded by vineyards, and is a perfect base for exploring New Zealand’s beautiful Marlborough region.

Rooms at The Marlborough Lodge

There are just 10 stylish and spacious suites here, guaranteeing privacy and exclusivity. Set over two floors in the historic lodge, they come with balconies or verandas overlooking the vineyards and olive groves.

Food & Drink

Unsurprisingly the food and drink of the region is a main draw here. Three-course evening meals showcasing the delicious local produce, including fruit and vegetables from the gardens, are prepared by the creative chefs. They are expertly paired with premium local and international wines, including wines made from the Sauvignon Blanc grapes of the lodge's own vineyard.

Wake up to gourmet breakfasts and in the afternoons, enjoy canapés prepared in front of you in the Demonstration Kitchen.

Facilities

In between the delicious meals and exclusive wine tours, where you’ll have plenty more opportunities to enjoy the local wines, relax in the sunshine by the pool, or work up an appetite with a few lengths or a walk around the estate’s parkland and lake. Active guests can also enjoy a game of tennis during the summer months at the Rapaura Tennis Club next door, or borrow one of the hotel’s bikes to explore.

Activities at The Marlborough Lodge

Blenheim's many inviting wineries and restaurants, plus award-winning gardens and parks, can be reached by car in 10 minutes, whilst the pretty port town of Picton is a 20-minute drive away.

Head out on the serene waterways of the Marlborough Sounds on a luxury cruise, and tuck into the region’s world-renowned seafood, accompanied by panoramic vistas – or, speaking of panoramic vistas, how about a scenic flight over the hills, the rows of vines and the Sounds?
