Hotel Overview

Where

In the somnolent countryside of Hawke’s Bay, about 20 minutes from Hastings.

Rooms at Glen Aros

This intimate homestead houses six beautiful bedrooms elegantly appointed with antique-style furnishings, super-king beds and accented in light summery tones. All rooms have stunning views sweeping across the countryside and the ground-floor suites come with large verandas and direct access to Glen Aros’ lawns and rose garden.

Food and facilities

Head Chef Nigel Marriage is a craftsman in the Glen Aros kitchen, using fruit, veg and herbs from the hotel garden and locally-grown produce from nearby farmer’s markets to ensure his menu is made up of the freshest Kiwi cuisine. Just as impressive is the extensive list of fine local and international vintages to accompany your meal or have as a nightcap on the veranda.

Activities at Glen Aros

Glen Aros has got everything covered as far as rest and relaxation is concerned, but you’re also just a stone’s throw from plenty of active distractions, such as golfing, wine tours, fly fishing, the dramatic coastal region of Cape Kidnappers, and the Art Deco town of Napier. You can see the sprawling orchards, vineyards, plains and mountain ranges from above on a heli-tour or scenic flight.
