Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Acacia Cliffs Lodge has a scenic location, with panoramic views over Lake Taupo and beyond.

Rooms at Acacia Cliffs Lodge

This boutique lodge has just a few suites, meaning just a select number of guests at any one time. Three of the suites offer sweeping lake views, while the sunny Mapara Suite is nestled amongst tranquil greenery.

Soak up the vistas through the oversized glass windows from your super-king bed or on the sun-drenched private decks - a perfect spot for a morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. You will find speciality teas and coffees in your room, as well as a complimentary bottle of New Zealand wine.

Food & drink

Wake up to a hearty breakfast, which you can have in your room if you wish, and after a day's adventures, don't miss the complimentary canapés and New Zealand wines on offer before dinner each evening. Choose from a range of excellent restaurants in Taupo, or linger over a multi-course gourmet dinner at the lodge (reservations required), which can be enjoyed by candlelight for a romantic dinner for two, or on the decks with fellow guests and the hosts.

Facilities

Large doors open onto the many decks and garden areas where you can relax, listen to music, read a good book and soak up the exceptional vistas everywhere you look.

Activities at Acacia Cliffs Lodge

Take a scenic flight over the magnificent surroundings, over the lake and towards the neighbouring active volcanoes, try trout fishing on the banks, or bathe and enjoy a picnic at Acacia Bay in the warmer months. The area is also fantastic for hiking or mountain biking along the Mapara Track next door.
