Rooms at Arthur's Pass Wilderness Lodge

The lodge was designed to blend into a natural forest clearing and features wood, concrete and corrugated iron. There are 20 Mountain View and Garden rooms, each with magnificent views out over the Waimakariri River Valley and Southern Alps, and four Alpine Lodge rooms, which are spacious, well-appointed and secluded retreats set in the beech forest with mountain views. All rooms are en suite, and come with private balconies. The Alpine Lodges also have a spa bath, a kitchenette and a gas fire.

Food & Drink

At the Mount Rolleston restaurant, delicious gourmet cuisine is served up in a stunning setting overlooking the mountains. Classic New Zealand dishes dominate the menu, with an emphasis on the use of fresh, seasonal ingredients, grown on the farm wherever possible; Wilderness Lodge Lamb, served every other night, is a particular speciality. Farm-grown bacon, ham, eggs and Manuka honey form the basis of hearty breakfasts, which are a great way to start each day.
