Four luxurious suites offer expansive glass windows and private terraces for admiring the breathtaking views. Cosy up among the roaring log fires and heated floors, and treat yourself to a candlelit soak in the double bath.

Food and facilities

Breakfasts are a delicious combination of seasonal fruits, locally made breads and home cooked treats. Taste the wines from the lodge’s boutique vineyards and nibble on hors d'oeuvres at pre-dinner drinks with your fellow staff and guests, before settling down with a book in the library or stargazing on the terrace. Note that dinners are not available at the lodge.

Acitivities at Takatu Lodge

This stretch of the Matakana Coast is a popular artist hangout; exhibit a range of fine art and crafts in galleries, workshops and artist’s homes along the coast. Take an exhilarating horseback ride along the white sand beaches, or pay a visit to the Matakana Farmers’ Market taking place every Saturday to pick up some artisan gifts.
