Hotel Overview

Where

On the private atoll of Tikehau, northeast of the main island of Tahiti.

Rooms at Ninamu

Each of the six guest bungalows at Ninamu is unique in its design and personality, all making use of natural and locally-sourced materials in white coral walls and polished wooden structures, with quirky and contemporary touches.

Food and Facilities

A local, family-run farm on the other side of the atoll, aptly named Eden, is the source of most of Ninamu’s produce, meaning the menu revolves around seasonal, organic produce and changes regularly. Guaranteed to make an appearance is the fantastically fresh seafood that French Polynesia has in abundance, caught daily by the team at Ninamu themselves; given the day, it could be anything from mahi mahi and wahoo to yellowfin tuna or bonito.

Activities at Ninamu

Prevailing trade winds make Ninamu a great spot for surfers and if the waves aren’t happening, the encircling lagoons and reefs spell adventure – practically every water-sport is on offer, including paddle-boarding, kite-boarding, fishing, urchin-hunting, jet-skiing, kayaking, diving and snorkelling. Don’t feel any pressure to get your adrenalin going, however; lying on the beach all day is very much accepted, if not encouraged.
