Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The resort sits on the private island of Ugaga, in Fiji’s incredibly turquoise Beqa lagoon.

Rooms at Royal Davui Island Resort

Separated by lush tropical trees, just 16 plush villas (or vales) are dotted around the island, just a few paces from the beach and each with their own plunge pool for a dip on your deck. The bedrooms are stylish, with island-inspired splashes of Pacific blue and tropical artwork, and make the most of the spectacular sweeping views, with panoramic windows facing straight out to the lagoon. Watch out for dolphins and frigate birds.

Food & Drink

Picture champagne breakfasts on the spectacular island sandbar; lazy, lingering picnics on the soft sand of your very own sand cay, cocktails accompanied by the lagoon sunsets and candlelit dinners on the deck of the resort’s restaurant, under the island’s ancient banyan tree. The Royal Davui’s chefs take pride in making the most of the best local produce, and the South Pacific’s bounty of delicious seafood always makes an appearance on the seasonal menus.

Facilities

Ramp up the pampering factor with a spa treatment using local coconut oils and exotic flowers.

Activities at Royal Davui Island Resort

Vibrant coral reefs encircle the island, just under the water’s surface, and are snorkelling heaven - they are home to starfish, anemones, manta rays, reef sharks and endless other species - while the pristine beaches are perfect for relaxing on.

The opportunity to experience Fijian culture and legends is one of our favourite things about this corner of the South Pacific – enjoy village visits where you'll be greeted with a traditional welcome ceremony, local cookery classes or a little talanoa – storytelling – to learn more about the fascinating history and myths of the area.
