Hotel Overview

Rooms at Lake House

There are 35 country house-comfortable rooms at Lake House, including 12 suites and two villas. Waterfront rooms and suites are recommended – and not just for their stunning lakeside views. Historic local photographs and local artwork adorn the walls, and there’s nothing more relaxing than watching the morning mist evaporating from the lake’s surface, all from your king size bed.

Food and facilities

Alla Wolf-Tasker’s multi-award winning restaurant at the Lake House draws visitors from all over the world for its fresh, inventive modern Australian dishes. Menus are produced in line with the seasons; think butter poached pheasant with chestnuts and farrow in the autumn and lamb with asparagus and morels in the spring. The restaurant sits looking out over the lake, and post-meal, it’s a real treat to retire to the terrace for a refreshing drink.

Activities at Lake House

Enjoy some private wine-tasting in the Cellar, go for a morning stroll in Wombat Forest, browse the extensive DVD library for an afternoon film showing or visit the local galleries and boutiques nearby. You can’t visit Lake House without indulging in a spa treatment at Salus – the Exotic Milk Bath Ritual will certainly leave you feeling relaxed and invigorated.
