Rooms at Southwest Wilderness Camp

The four canvas tented rooms have comfortable queen sized or twin beds, with fluffy hypo-allergenic doonas and natural woollen blankets, and timber flooring.

Food and drink

Your meals at the camp include a gourmet breakfast, three course lunch or picnic, canapes and a four course degustation dinner, accompanied by Tasmanian wines and liqueurs. As much Tasmanian product has been used in the preparation of the menu, and so depends on what fresh produce is available, but you can expect meals such as locally smoked salmon to start, roast Marbella chicken with creamy spinach mash and warm chick pea salad for the main course and a summer berry pudding with raspberry sauce to finish.

There is a communal area where bathrooms and hot showers are available.

Activities at Southwest Wilderness Camp

The Southwest National Park is over 4,500sq kms and you’ll have three days to explore this world heritage-listed area. There’ll be opportunities to see the rare and endangered orange bellied parrots, visit Aboriginal middens and caves, travel the remote waterways on a private boat, walk along untouched beaches and even climb a mountain.
