Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Port Lincoln Hotel sits on the foreshore of Boston Bay and its location affords spectacular ocean views. Port Lincoln itself is a prosperous fishing town, and its history is reflected in its abundance of top-quality seafood restaurants and maritime-themed attractions.

Rooms at Port Lincoln Hotel

The rooms and suites are spacious and comfortable, and some have private balconies to make the most of the sea vistas. Luxury Ocean View Suites, situated on the top floor, feature spacious private balconies with outdoor furniture so you can enjoy the view, as do Deluxe Spa Suites, which also feature opulent bathrooms with spa baths. The only rooms not overlooking the ocean are Town View Rooms, which instead feature panoramic vistas over Port Lincoln. Décor throughout is muted and tasteful, with a cool colour scheme of blues and greys reflecting the ocean outside.

Food and drink

Sarins restaurant offers fresh seafood from the Eyre Peninsula, including the famously large King Coffin Bay oysters, alongside traditional pub favourites and seasonal specials. Enjoy a beer while watching a game at Sharkys bar, which also has live music in the evening. Visit the wineries in the area to try the local vintages, or head to the hotel’s very own wine cellar and bottle shop. There are also cafes and restaurants nearby – Port Lincoln prides itself on being the seafood capital of South Australia.

Facilities

The hotel has an outdoor pool, where you can relax after a day’s exploration in Port Lincoln or the great outdoors. If you fancy a flutter, head to Lucky Barts Goldrush Gaming Lounge, where you’ll find slot machines and keno and lottery facilities.

Activities at Port Lincoln Hotel

The Eyre Peninsula is a nature playground of panoramic landscapes and colourful wildlife, with a range of activities on offer from sailing to a 4WD tour around the sand dunes - or adrenaline seekers may be drawn to shark cage diving. You can also take a boat tour out to a floating tuna enclosure to swim with the fish. Port Lincoln is known as the tuna capital of the world, and even has a festival in January – Tunarama – which celebrates the industry. The Axel Stenross Maritime Museum is a little over a mile away, a historical boat museum dedicated to the early 20th-century Finnish sailors Axel Stenross and Frank Laakso, and filled with history, relics and artefacts from the days of windjammer merchant vessels. Of course, as a South Australian town, Port Lincoln is a great place for wine lovers; Boston Bay Wineries, on the northern fringes of town, is a local highlight.
