The waters which you’ll sail on the MV Bahama are world-famous for the beauty and rich eco-system of the Great Barrier Reef. Port Douglas itself is a sophisticated, cosmopolitan coastal town with beautiful beaches, and a preferred destination (over Cairns) for an increasing number of people looking to experience the Great Barrier Reef.

MV Bahama’s luxurious accommodations are spread across a master suite with a spacious marble en suite bathroom, and two further en suite guest cabins. Décor fits in with that of the rest of the vessel, following a turquoise colour palette which reflects the azure ocean outside your window. Bedrooms make good use of the space available, and the master suite features a writing desk and comfortable sofa.

Food and drink

MV Bahama has a resident chef who cooks up delicious gourmet cuisine based on the freshest seafood and catches of the day, dinner on the deck under a clear, starlit sky is a beautiful experience. There’s also an al fresco barbecue area. Meals are included in the price of your stay, as are drinks and snacks throughout the day.

Facilities

The flybridge deck is home to a spacious sunbathing lounge, and the yacht also has a book library as well as an extensive DVD and music collection. Equipment is available on board for snorkelling, scuba diving, light tackle fishing and non-motorised water sports. Heavy tackle fishing gear is also available on request.

Activities on board the MV Bahama

Port Douglas is a gateway to the northern Great Barrier Reef like no other, and your trip will take in the inner and outer ribbon reefs, continental islands, sand cays and beautiful lagoons which make up this area of renowned natural beauty. This place is, of course, a haven for scuba divers, and on the way you’ll stop off at deep diving sites; gear is available on board, as is expert tuition. You’ll also stop off at proven fishing hotspots, with heavy tackle tuition also available on request. Charter highlights include a visit to the historic lighthouse at Low Isles, the deserted beaches of Snapper Island, and snorkelling with sea turtles and over vast, colourful coral structures.
