Within the Mareeba Tropical Savannah and Wetland Reserve, west of Cairns, on the northern edge of the Atherton Tablelands (Cairns Highlands).

Rooms at Jabiru Safari Lodge

Jabiru’s African-style tented safari cabins blend into the open savannah woodland providing comfortable overnight accommodation. Each Cabin offers a comfortable bed with linen, timber floors, private ensuite facilities and insect screens. All cabins have a private timber deck with a barbecue and outdoor setting, with interiors decorated in natural materials which compliment the warm tones of the safari furniture. To cool off or relax after your day's activities, a heated spa jacuzzi is located near the deluxe safari cabins in a rustic bush setting.

Food & Facilities

The all-inclusive tariff covers all accommodation, meals and activities during your stay, including a delicious hot evening meal cooked for you on-site. Alternatively you can choose to stay on the bed & breakfast only tariff and be treated to fresh local fruits and hot coffee each morning, then cook yourself a feast in your eco tent, dining with fantastic views of the surrounding wildlife.

Activities at Jabiru Safari Lodge

Take part in one of the many wildlife experiences available at the lodge. Take a ride in an open safari vehicle for excellent wildlife and birdlife viewing and tour the Reserve at a leisurely pace. Kangaroos, wallabies, wallaroos, emus and wild pigs are regularly sighted. The highlight of any wildlife safari is the Pandanus Lagoon and its prolific birdlife viewed from our Bird-hides. You can also take a leisurely paddle around Clancy's Lagoon in a locally-made handcrafted wooden canoe or take a 30 minute eco-cruise that explores the birdlife and wildlife of Clancy's Lagoon.
