Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Paramount House Hotel is in Surry Hills, Sydney’s trendiest suburb, home to countless hipster bars, fantastic coffee culture and food pop-ups representing cuisines from across the world. This is an inner-city neighbourhood, and the world-famous attractions of Sydney are easily accessible.

Rooms at Paramount House Hotel

Reflecting the hotel’s heritage, the rooms have an industrial-chic feel, with exposed brickwork on the walls, sturdy wooden pillars and iron girders, and a colour palette of grey and black. Organic touches are provided in the form of lovely wooden floors and bedside tables hewn from tree stumps, as well as plants. Modern artworks from local galleries adorn the walls, while the stylish bathrooms feature showers tiled with marble and fitted with vintage brass taps and showerheads - and some have Japanese-style timber baths. The gourmet mini-bars are stocked with meats and wines.

The Loft rooms come with a comfortable lounge with beds on a mezzanine, while the Mack Daddy rooms have a mid-century feel and have their own private balconies.

Food & Drink

As well as waking up to a thermos of coffee hanging on your bedroom door, on the ground floor you’ll find the Paramount Coffee Project, a superb addition to Sydney’s world-class coffee scene, where you can also enjoy delicious breakfasts. Alternatively, head all the way to the rooftop, where Club Kiosk serves up wholesome, health-focused dishes, from brown rice bowls to zingy citrus salads.

The countless restaurants of Surry Hills, representing culinary traditions from across the globe, are also right on your doorstep here.

Facilities

Head up to the top floor to the Paramount Rooftop Club, the venue for gym classes, meditation sessions and even nutrition workshops - the thinking is to get people out in the fresh air as an antidote to the dominant gym-centric wellness culture.

Activities at Paramount House Hotel

The Australian capital is home to some of the country’s most recognisable icons. The Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House need no introduction and are both must-visits, while other highlights include the Sydney Harbour National Park – home to Aboriginal rock art and offshore islands – and the golden sand of Bondi Beach.

The Art Gallery of NSW houses indigenous artworks alongside contemporary art from across the world, while the Australian Museum's natural history collections showcase the country’s breathtaking beauty and diversity.
