Rooms at Paperbark Camp

The Camp’s 12 tents are minimalist, yet luxurious. Woven into the trees, on solid timber platforms, each tent has solar-powered lighting, various insect screens and an indoor/outdoor en-suite with a hot shower. Separate to the main camp are two Deluxe Tents, complete with a private veranda and outdoor lounge. The name of the game here is to embrace the wilderness, but if you do need to access the outside world, plug sockets and wifi are found in communal areas.

Food and facilities

You won’t find any instant porridge or tinned beans at the Gunyah Restaurant, that’s for sure. Instead, the Chilean chef conjures up delicious Australian cuisine with a hint of Central America. We recommend the granola for breakfast – it’s so good, they even provide printed out recipes so you can recreate your bush breakfast at home.

Activities at Paperbark Camp

Canoes, kayaks and mountain bikes are available at your disposal, although there’s something more magical about a pre-breakfast stroll with the kangaroos. Not an early-riser? Take an evening walk instead and meet the resident possums. You’re also within easy reach of the Bay’s pristine beaches and countless miles of walking trails in the Booderee National Park.
