GOOD MORNING, VIETNAM!

Your holiday begins in Saigon, where historic colonial architecture jostles for position with towering skyscrapers in a bustling metropolis. Enjoy a tour of the city’s many historic treasures by cyclo and electric cart, visit the village of Duong No, where president Ho Chi Minh lived, and dine like a king at the Ancient Hue restaurant, which showcases historic architecture and is set in pretty gardens. Hoi An, a former prosperous trading port, is one of our favourite places in Vietnam, with its historic, grand architecture, beautifully preserved Old Quarter, Buddhist pagodas and temples, thriving markets and unique atmosphere, including the colourful lanterns that hang everywhere, lining doorways and illuminating the city at night. Immerse yourself in Hoi An’s many treasures, and see the local fishermen hard at work along the waterways.   Your hotel here, the River Town Hoi An, is on the island of An Hoi, on the banks of the Thu Bon River.

It’s time to head to the beach – Mui Ne has some beautiful beaches, looking out over the aquamarine waters of the East Sea. The Mia Resort is an exclusive enclave right on the sand. Explore the fishing village, and watch sunrise from the dunes. Relax on the beach and watch the fishermen head out early in the morning, and see surfers out on the waves in the afternoon sunshine.
