The 92 rooms at Victoria are steeped in old-world charm, with hardwood floors, cream and gold interiors and traditional Vietnamese handicrafts. Whilst all rooms face out onto the delta, deluxe rooms and suites have their own balconies from which to survey the surrounds.

Sit on the outdoor terrace at the Bassac Restaurant and enjoy views of the water as you dine on local and European cuisine – we recommend rising early for the buffet breakfast and taking in the sunrise over the river. The Tan Chau Salon Bar serves the outdoor pool with a range of drinks, cocktails and snacks to munch on.

Journey along the coffee-coloured river in a traditional sampan boat, passing floating villages on your way; pay a visit to the Tra Su Nature Reserve to see turtles, exotic birds and a colourful variety of plant life; and learn to cook authentic local specialties in a cookery class with the Cham, an ethnic minority from central and south Vietnam.
