Hotel Overview

Sense of place

The bucolic Mekong Delta exudes peace and tranquility; tiny villages pepper its leafy banks and day-to-day life floats by in a charmingly laid back fashion.

Rooms on board the Song Xanh Sampan

You’ll enjoy private occupancy on board the Song Xanh Sampan, allowing a truly personal and tailored experience. The two cabins showcase rustic bamboo and rattan furniture, en suite bathrooms and air conditioning.

Food and drink

Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style, while a la carte dining is on offer during the evening. The chef prepares fresh Vietnam and Western fusion cuisine, to be paired with a wine from the well-stocked bar on board. Enjoy your meals on the sundeck as you watch the world float by.

Facilities

A staff of four people will take care of you while on board – one captain, two stewards and a guide. Relax in a deck chair on the sun deck with a cold beer in hand, or, on the cooler evenings, retreat to the salon to watch a film or read a book in the cosy arm chairs. The Sampan also carries fishing rods, bicycles and a small rowing boat for excursions out into the depths of the canal.

Activities on board the Song Xanh Sampan

During your trip you’ll tread off the beaten path on thrilling daytime excursions into this fascinating environment. Stop off at local villages and learn about the importance of the river ecosystem to the communities, go for walks through the rice paddies and taste some of the delicious fruits growing overhead as you pass through. Depending on which itinerary you choose, you might also get to visit the Cai Be floating markets or see the colourful Cao Dai Temple.
