Bangkok offers a whirlwind of everything, from fine dining to tasty street food, and from designer boutiques to floating markets that are a perfect photo opportunity. You may also like to take part in a baci ceremony, where a village elder will wrap a white cotton thread around your wrist and chant an invocation (in Laos, white is traditionally the colour of peace, good fortune and warmth).

There’s more to Siem Reap than Angkor Wat too, such as an attractive French Quarter and a thriving food and culture scene. Experience its waterways on a memorable sunset cruise, and travel by boat to the floating village of Chong Kneas and the Phsar Chah (Old Market).
