Sense of Place

Immersed in dense rainforest, with views of picturesque Phang Nga Bay in the distance, settings don’t come much more spectacular than this. The island of Koh Yao Noi, an unspoilt gem of golden beaches, swaying palms and thick jungle, lies on your doorstep waiting to be explored.

Rooms at TreeHouse Villas

The resort’s beautiful treetop villas are accessed by a bridge suspended in the forest canopy, and have an open-plan feel, spread over two floors. The lower floors feature bar, dining and relaxation areas, with day beds, chairs and wooden swings, which open out onto a plunge pool – relax poolside with a drink from your bar. Upstairs is the bedroom, with a king-size bed facing onto a private balcony, complete with hammock, overlooking the jungle. If heights aren’t your thing, opt for the Beachfront Pool Villas, which have seven-metre pools and will see you stepping right onto the beach.

Whichever villa you choose, you’ll find the same blend of luxurious comfort and rustic chic, with upcycled materials used to create unique, stylish furnishings. Bathrooms feature jungle showers and hammock-shaped bathtubs.

Food & Drink

The resort’s flagship restaurant, Roots, serves up a wide variety of food from traditional Thai cuisine to hearty international favourites: sample dishes include coconut shrimp, spicy prawn soup and fettucine alfredo. The aptly-named outdoor Al Fresco restaurant has a more exclusively European focus, with the added bonus of a woodfired pizza oven.

For the ultimate romantic evening, opt for a candlelit dinner on the beach, with the choice of a Thai or Western set menu. For a post-dinner drink, the Sundowners Bar has an irresistible menu of tropical cocktails.

Facilities

The Serenity Spa is nestled in the jungle and is a beautiful bamboo sanctuary where a range of wellness therapies, massages, facials and wraps are on offer. It’s a unique space, with a waterfall plunge pool and a herbal ‘steam cave’ underneath it. Spa treatments are also available at the Spa Salas in the nearby Beach Club, or in the privacy of your own villa.

Activities at TreeHouse Villas

Koh Yao Noi is a beautiful island to explore by bicycle, with its small villages dotted among rice paddies, and is best discovered at a leisurely pace. Offshore, visit Phang Nga Bay by boat.

Back at the resort, active types will enjoy volleyball, badminton and tennis, while a range of cultural activities are held regularly – unlock the secrets of delicious Thai cuisine with a cooking class, learn how to make beautiful batik textiles, and enjoy a programme of traditional music and dance performances in the evenings.
