Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Elephant Hills has a truly breathtaking location, floating atop the Cheow Lan Lake in the middle of Khao Sok National Park. From your luxury tent, you can enjoy views of the limestone mountains, which tower over the horizon.

Rooms at Elephant Hills Rainforest Camp

Elephant Hills’ 20 luxury safari tents combine supreme comfort with a sense of being immersed in the natural world. The tents float over the lake, and each has a small balcony from which you can gaze over the water and take in the beautiful view. All tents have en suite bathrooms, decorated in a jungle style, which have hot water and Western-style toilets.

Food & drink

Elephant Hills is home to two restaurants, where an ever-changing selection of Thai and international dishes are on offer depending on the season and availability of fresh, organic ingredients. Food is served buffet-style in a relaxed environment, which is a great way to meet your fellow guests and swap stories about your adventures.

Facilities

Each tent is provided with its own kayak, so that you can explore the lake on your own terms. Maps, information and books are provided packed with information about Khao Sok National Park, to help you get the most out of your stay.

Activities at Elephant Hills Rainforest Camp

The camp’s unique location allows for a range of cultural and outdoor activities during your stay. Elephants are the main attraction of course, but there is plenty more on offer. An expert local guide can take you to the nearby Ta Khun market, where you can sample exotic fruits and pick up some beautiful handicrafts as souvenirs. A jungle trek can take you up to a well-hidden cave, full of incredible stalagmites and stalactites, while a kayak trip is a great way to experience the beauty of Cheow Lan Lake up close.

Khao Sok National Park is home to creatures including wild elephants, hornbills, gaur and monkeys, all of which can be spotted on guided nature walks.
