Hotel Overview

Where

On the banks of the Mae Kok River, just outside Chiang Rai.

Rooms at The Legend Chiang Rai

The resort’s contemporary style takes inspiration from traditional Thai Lanna-style architecture and local cultural heritage in an ingenious mix of ancient and modern that offers the best of all worlds. There are 78 luxurious and spacious one and two-storey studios and villas with your very own private pool, Jacuzzi and gardens, as well as a private bar. The suites have king and queen-sized beds, open-plan sala living areas and generous bathrooms. Many have views over lush tropical gardens, the river and the mountains beyond, while some villas also have private river access.

Food and facilities

The Riverside Terrace, which has a picturesque backdrop of the river and the tropical gardens, incorporates Thai classics with international cuisine to create beautiful dishes (see the chefs at work in the open kitchen). Or relax in the gardens of the Suan Chainam restaurant and listen to some music while enjoying a barbecue and exotic cocktails - wine buffs can also taste a range of specially chosen wines in the Wine Casa and Bar.

Activities at The Legend Chiang Rai

Take a dip in the beautiful infinity pool, which has an integrated bubble bed and spectacular river views, and enjoy a traditional Thai massage in the spa, which uses ancient remedies handed down through the generations, including fresh herbs and rare plants. Or just relax in the tropical gardens, an idyllic sanctuary for birds and butterflies - and guests. Further afield, enjoy a tour around Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle, including ornate temples and palaces, colourful local villages and boat trips on the river.
