Hotel Overview

Sense Of Place

Gypsy Mekong can be found plying the waters of the Upper Mekong River, in either direction between Chiang Saen at the border of Northern Thailand and Luang Prabang in Laos. As you cruise, look out for elephants walking along the river banks and villagers coming to fish or travel alongside you - there will be plenty of opportunity to get off and explore the remote and beautiful regions you pass en route too.

Rooms On Gypsy Mekong

The only two suites on board are located at opposite ends of the vessel and both have en suite bathrooms. Each spacious suite also has floor to ceiling doors which open up to allow you to enjoy the tranquil river views from the comfort of your bed.

Food & Drink

All meals and house beer and wine are included as part of the cruise. Enjoy breakfast in the sun and at night tuck into sumptuous gourmet cuisine by candlelight, with the starry night sky as a backdrop. Afterwards, grab a cocktail at the bar and watch the sun set on the Sun Deck.

Facilities

Despite only having two guest suites, the vessel has a generous crew of eight (including a fantastic chef), meaning you will be extremely well looked after. When you simply want to relax, there are several lounge and deck areas, meaning you can move around for the best views throughout the day.

Activities On Gypsy Mekong

All activities on Gypsy Mekong can be tailored to your interests and requests, and can be as full-on or relaxed as you like. Some of the suggested activities you could enjoy while on the cruise include exploring the Kuang Si Waterfalls and Pak Ou Caves, visiting remote local villages and challenging yourself with a scenic jungle trek. The crew will be able to suggest several more options once they have an idea of what kind of excursions you prefer.
