Hotel Overview

Where

On the small island of Koh Samui, off mainland Thailand’s South East coast.

Rooms at W Retreat Koh Samui

The 75 retreats are perfect for relaxing after a night of partying, sprawled on a day-bed by your private plunge pool, and with panoramic views high above the ocean. Inside has a minimalist feel like the rest of the hotel,(except for the quirky additions of red teddy-bears, and the tasty Sweet Spot!). If a moment not spent on the beach is a moment wasted for you, then you’ll love the Ocean Front Heaven retreats – just a few seconds away from the crystal waters. Meanwhile, for those who want to entertain, the Extreme Wow Ocean Haven suites are just the ticket, with wine coolers and BBQ fire-pits on the deck.

Food and Facilities

There couldn’t be more choice at W Retreat Koh Samui, and this is the kind of place that will make your eggs just as you like them. If stone-baked pizza, sushi, tapas and freshly caught sea-food don’t tempt you, then the chefs will be happy to knock you up a Pad Thai, spicy papaya salad, or whatever you fancy. During the day, you’ll be brought complimentary smoothies and other goodies by the pool, and you can also help yourself to ice-creams. Anyone on a health-kick will be in heaven too, propping up Tonic bar with a superfood shot, or tucking in to sushi salad rolls, and green tea noodles.

Activities at W Retreat Koh Samui

Unlike some of the beaches on the island, W Beach doesn’t have the jagged corals and rocks so it’s perfect for snorkelling, kayaking, and having a go on the banana boats. There’s also a large pool, tennis, Thai boxing and yoga to keep you happy at the resort, but if you want to head further afield, you can take a tuck-tuck to the romantic coves of Fisherman’s Village. Nearby Chaweng is fairly touristy, but the hilly route down is always an experience – dodging cows as they amble across the road, and passing tiny tots on the backs of motorbikes! For nature lovers the island is home to some magical waterfalls, and there’s also a towering Buddha statue.
