Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Six Senses Maxwell is located in a block of 19th-century heritage shophouses in Singapore’s Chinatown. It has been beautifully restored into a gorgeous boutique hotel, with many of the city’s attractions within walking distance.

Rooms at Six Senses Maxwell

The rooms, studios and suites are carefully designed in contemporary style, with interiors by French designer Jacques Garcia and special touches such as unique handmade vintage rugs and mahogany French writing desks, while some also have private balconies to relax on.

The studios offer a spacious lounge area with a separate bedroom, and the suites feature one or two bedrooms, a separate living room and a bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Food & Drink

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the Cook & Tras Social Library, which is a restaurant and bar with an all-day menu, consisting of both local traditional creations and international fare. The Six Senses Brasserie is a perfect spot for dinner, with gourmet cuisine featuring ingredients such as sustainable seafood and organic vegetables, served alongside a premium selection of wines.

Make sure to enjoy a cocktail (or two) at Garcha’s, and indulge in its impressive collection of spirits, accompanied by the smooth sounds of jazz, or sip on a glass of champagne or a Rose Bellini at the Rose Lounge. Head to the rooftop, which has an edible garden, and choose from a variety of tempting organic bites and a range of drinks at the Max’s Rooftop Bar.

Visit the hotel’s spa, which has five spa pods, a relaxation room and a fitness centre, or relax at the 25-metre rooftop pool. Do something for your mind and soul with an outdoor yoga class, or learn about health, wellness and Chinese medicine at sister hotel Six Senses Duxton.

Activities at Six Senses Maxwell

Discover the neighbourhood and its artistic, colourful shophouses, dating back to the 1800s. You can find them on Duxton Hill, formerly a nutmeg plantation and now full of beautiful houses.

Take your time to explore Chinatown, large sections of which have been declared sites of national heritage, where you’ll find historic temples as well as traditional medicinal halls. To experience Chinese culture and art, and the history and preparation of tea, make sure to stop by the Yixing Xuan Teahouse. Take a walk through Pearl’s Hill City Park, or to have a panoramic 360-degree view of the city, go up the Pinnacle@Duxton, which has a skybridge with a 500-metre-long garden on the 50th floor.
