The Philippines has a tropical year-round climate, with average annual temperatures of over 25°C. The weather varies depending on where you go, but as a whole it is best to travel during the dry season between November and April, when the country is at its most accessible, and it is at its coolest between December and February, while still offering blue skies and sunshine.
The hottest months are between March and May, while the rainy season runs from May to October. July and August are usually the wettest months, with more chance of typhoons. However, these rains are usually not torrential or constant, and you can still enjoy hot, sunny days, as well as fewer crowds - and with the landscapes at their most lush and green, this is a good time to see attractions such as the rice terraces at their best.
