Villa Samadhi takes its name from the Sanskrit word for ‘journey’, and staying here you’ll feel a million miles away from the metropolis of Kuala Lumpur outside. Tucked away in a green, leafy district, the discreet hideaway is almost entirely hidden from view, the enormous grass thatched roof its only giveaway. Once inside the bamboo gate you’ll find charming lantern-lit pathways leading to luxurious suites huddled around a sleepy ‘lagoon’.
Perfect forA tranquil retreat in a city that never stops.
In the knowThe beautiful Malaysian-inspired villas offer luxury and tranquillity, set around a tropical lagoon - yet you're only a 10-minute walk from the shops and restaurants of Kuala Lumpur, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds here.

Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Villa Samadhi is nestled in tropical gardens in a quiet corner of Kuala Lumpur.

Rooms at Villa Samadhi

Inspired by traditional Malay architecture, and beautifully constructed from timber and bamboo, your luxurious villa will make you feel more like you're in Malaysia’s beautiful rainforest than in one of its biggest cities. The villas are decorated with ornate Asian furniture and antiques, and whether yours has a balcony, private garden, a private whirlpool or the tiled lagoon-like pool on its doorstep, it’ll be entirely unique. Some rooms have views as far as the iconic Petronas Towers, a reminder of the magnificent urban sprawl outside.

Food & Drink

In the hotel’s excellent restaurant you can dine either on traditional Malay cuisine as well as western specialities, featuring local seasonal produce. Peering over the lagoon, the restaurant is blissfully tranquil, but if you’re looking for something a little more lively then head to the multi-tiered rooftop Bumbung Bar, where you’ll be greeted with complimentary canapés and extraordinarily imaginative cocktails.

Just a short distance away lies Tamarind Springs, an award-winning restaurant owned by Villa Samadhi. For luxury dining, this is the place to go.

Facilities

With so much going on in buzzing Kuala Lumpur, Villa Samadhi is all about taking things as slow as possible. With day beds perched right by the water, the beautiful lagoon, the 'life zone' of the villa, is designed with lazing in mind. This freeform pool is like an oasis in the city and is a perfect haven of serenity, surrounded by cosy cabanas and tropical gardens lit by lanterns.

Activities at Villa Samadhi

If you can drag yourself away, buzzing Kuala Lumpur, with its shops, restaurants, street food stalls and towering skyscrapers, is just a 10-minute walk. From culinary tours to visiting an elephant sanctuary, there are numerous ways to explore the area. On your return, relax on the rooftop terrace.
