Rooms at Tugu Malang

The eclectic theme of the resort is sustained in the rooms, where you’ll be treated to a huge antique bed, colourful draperies and a range of beautiful artefacts. Each room is decorated individually, reflecting a different story from Javanese mythology. The sunken stone bathtubs are a great place to luxuriate after a hard day of sightseeing.

Food and Facilities

The Tugu Malang offers a smorgasbord of restaurants and cafes, all offering local delicacies that are most definitely worth a try. With freshly brewed local teas, old Indonesian recipes and one of the best bakeries in East Java, a gourmet feast awaits you. During the day you can enjoy an aromatherapy session at the oasis-like Apsara Spa. Come evening, there is live music at the hotel bar.

Activities at Tugu Malang

An early morning trip to Mount Bromo and an exploration of the surrounding Javanese countryside are both must-sees. The nearby old town of Malang, which was voted the loveliest town in South East Asia, is wonderfully unspoilt, surrounded by apple and tea plantations and has a remarkable lotus pond with grounds that are great for enjoying lunch in.
