Hotel Overview

Sense of place

The Hermitage is situated in a commanding position just beside Jakarta’s pulsating core. The shops and sightseeing attractions are all a stone’s throw away, while the modern towers of the business district decorate the skyline from the hotel’s roof.

Rooms at The Hermitage

The hotel’s 90 rooms and suites put a contemporary twist on their 1920s heritage style, with soft-toned interiors and tastefully grand furnishings. Most come with their own separate living areas and all feature state-of-the-art technology.

Food & drink

The Hermitage has three dining options that offer both casual and relaxed dining: L’Avenue is a brasserie-style restaurant flaunting marble interiors and colonial artworks decorating its interior, offering a more formal dining experience; Hermitage lounge is perfect for light bites and pastries, while Courtyard Café is a laid-back al fresco venue specialising in patisseries, cocktails or a quick caffeinated pick-me-up. Up on the ninth floor, the La Vue rooftop bar is your number one spot for drinking in the city skyline panoramas alongside a pre-dinner aperitif at sunset.

Facilities

On the rooftop you’ll find a secluded pool with loungers and a bar, as well as a fitness centre. There are also a range of spa treatments - including massages, body scrubs and wraps - on offer at the wellness room, which is perfect for some relaxation and downtime away from the bustle of the city.

Activities at The Hermitage

Thanks to its convenient location, you’re perfectly placed for exploring the sights of Jakarta. Explore the cathedral and the Great Istiqlal Mosque, and channel Jakarta’s colonial background with a stroll through the crumbling architecture of the Old Town, a European-style plaza now housing cafés, street vendors and museums. The city's wealth of museums and galleries are not to be missed, including the Museum Nasional, containing archaeological treasures as well as one of the world’s largest collections of East Asian ceramics. For something a little different, try Museum Wayang, which showcases Indonesian puppetry, or visit the restored neo-Renaissance Jakarta Arts Theater, which hosts a diverse selection of international and traditional art performances.
