COMO Uma Ubud

COMO Uma Ubud is one of our favourite places for retreating from everyday life. The exotic calm of the place soothes stresses away with its tropical mountainside location, expansive spa retreat, and koi carp ponds in the villas' courtyards. Give it a few days of complimentary yoga classes overlooking the valley, swims in the infinity pool and a la carte breakfasts with tropical juices, and you'll be feeling on top of the world.
Perfect forA romantic escape for stressed couples who want to relax and unwind.
In the knowThe Como Shambhala Retreat is possibly one of Bali’s best holistic centres. Ask a travel expert when the yoga retreat weeks are held or for a specific wellness package.

Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

COMO Uma Ubud is in Bali's vibrant, culturally-rich centre, just 20 minutes from Ubud, yet is a serene oasis. Hidden on the fringe of Ubud, surrounded by forest and mist-wrapped rice paddies, this blissful retreat is a haven of peace and tranquillity.

Rooms at COMO Uma Ubud

Narrow paths lead through the forest to the neatly hidden rooms and suites. The Balinese-style rooms are decorated using indigenous materials with modern touches, and have beds draped with white voile, sunken baths and open-air showers overlooking the Tjampuhan Valley. They all have private walled tropical gardens, and some of the suites have beautiful private pools which blend into the jungle.

Food & Drink

The nutritious, health-conscious menus offer delicious Asian cuisine using fresh, locally-harvested produce, as well as gourmet Italian dishes, alongside refreshing drinks.

Facilities

The infinity pool backs on to the lush jungle behind and there's also a yoga pavilion. The renowned COMO Shambhala Spa offers soothing Asian-inspired and Ayurvedic treatments.

Activities at COMO Uma Ubud

While it's tempting to stay put, the resort is just 20 minutes from the temples, restaurants, galleries and markets of Ubud - Ubud is home to one of Bali's best restaurants, Mozaic.

We'd definitely encourage taking advantage of the free guided walks each morning around the rice paddies, local houses and jungle gorges. For those with a bit more energy, mountain bike to the crater of Mount
Batur or raft the white waters of the Ayung River. Schedule your stay for the full moon and take part in a Hindu ceremony to celebrate the goddess Purnama. Make traditional temple offerings followed by drinks, prayers and a special menu at the Kemiri restaurant.
