Hotel Overview

Sense of place

The Balé perches on a hillside in Nusa Dua, located on the eastern edge of Bali’s Bukit Peninsula. The beach is just a short 5-10 minute walk from the hotel, where white sands, swaying palms and an assortment of beachfront restaurants await.

Rooms at The Balé

There are 29 stylish pavilions in total, all wholly private and centred around a secluded pool and garden. Most of the pavilions are designed for single couples, while a handful of deluxe pavilions can accommodate up to 4 adults. Inside they flaunt the retreat’s trademark cutting-edge style, cleverly designed to feel spacious, open and wonderfully secluded. Every pavilion has a daybed overlooking the pool and a round-the-clock butler service.

Food & drink

If, or when, you do manage to peel yourself away from private barbecues and romantic candlelit dinners in your pavilion, the hotel’s primary dining option is Faces restaurant, a bright and open space set poolside, serving organic Mediterranean and Indonesian dishes and excelling in fresh seafood. For lighter meals during the daytime there’s also Bliss restaurant, specialising in healthy and nutritious spa cuisine that incorporates healing herbs and fresh fruits. Fluid bar is your go-to for pre-dinner cocktails, while Tapa offers an assortment of Spanish-style appetisers for sharing.

Facilities

Drawing upon traditional Balinese healing rituals, The Spa offers a selection of treatments to soothe the body, mind and soul; try a Crystal Healing Hot Stone therapy or a Japanese bodywork massage for stress relief.  The Balé also houses a library and its own private beach club, located five minutes from the hotel on a long stretch of chalky white beach – transport is free.

Activities at The Balé

The Bukit peninsula is awash with glorious beaches, offering world-class surfing and snorkelling opportunities. Back on dry land there are also some fantastic golf courses nearby and some charming villages to be explored – just ask your personal butler for a lift. Start or end the day with a relaxing yoga session, or take part in a Balinese cooking course at the hotel to learn the complex art of local cuisine.
