Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Soori Bali is on the south-west coast of Bali, in one of the most picturesque, rice-terraced regions of Tabanan. It overlooks the sea, fringed by striking black-sand beaches, between Mount Batukaru and the rice fields.

Rooms at Soori Bali

The beautiful villas and residences range from one to six bedrooms, while the Soori Estate has ten bedrooms, looking out over the beah and the Indian Ocean, the mountains and the rice fields.

They are stark yet beautiful: cleverly designed to showcase the remote setting and reflect local culture and traditions, including using local materials, whilst maintaining a great deal of privacy. Inside, the walls are clad in paras kelating, a grey sandstone, and the angular lines are softened with stone-coloured cushions, lanterns, and voile curtains that flap gently in the breeze. The villas come with plush beds, LCD TVs and gourmet maxi bars, and thanks to the butler service, you won't have to lift a finger.

Everything is designed to flow, inviting you to step off the expansive decking area, slip into your private infinity pool, and melt into the panoramic views around you.

Food & Drink

Ombak, the signature restaurant, offers delicious western cuisine, created using fresh produce from nearby farms and fragrant spices from the hotel's own gardens - and this is a perfect spot to watch the beautiful sunset. Have breakfast at Cotta, including the world-renowned Kopi Luwak coffee, and dine in the evening here on traditional Balinese and Indonesian favourites. The elegant Reading Room offers nutritious snacks and healthy juices made to order.

Facilities

There is a beautiful infinity pool to cool off in as well as a 24-hour gym if you fancy a workout. The tranquil spa sits on the edge of a volcanic beach, beneath Mount Batukaru, and here you can enjoy so much more than your standard massage thanks to the knowledgeable therapists who are fully versed in nutrition and overall health, with treatments featuring top quality organic products.

Activities at Soori Bali

A stay at Soori Bali is about experiencing the unique natural surroundings, and unharried village life. Go horse riding along the beach, or go for a cycle along the rice-paddy paths, spotting the incredible birdlife along the way, before meandering to a remote village and learning about traditional local crafts, such as terracotta earthenware. You'll also want to visit the stunning Tanah Lot Temple, which juts right out into the sea.
