Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Komaneka sits back from the Monkey Forest Road, Ubud’s central strip packed with arts and crafts stalls, restaurants and bars. At one end of the street sits the royal palace, and at the other lies the sacred monkey forest.

Rooms at Komaneka at Monkey Forest

Spacious, Balinese style rooms and suites flaunt dark wood furnishings, sunken marble bathtubs and private terraces with views over the tropical gardens or out towards the rolling rice fields. Wonderfully disconnected from the bustle of the street, you’ll wake to the sounds of croaking frogs and chirping birdsong each morning.

Food & drink

The Garden Terrace Restaurant sits inside an open pavilion nestled within the greenery, offering relaxed dining and a decidedly soothing ambience. The evening cuisine incorporates aromatic Indonesian flavours and uses fresh, local ingredients, while the extensive breakfast selection is truly scrumptious. Complimentary afternoon tea is also served daily by the pool, with different specialties on offer each day.

Facilities

The property has an excellent pool and neighbouring bar- perfect for pre-dinner cocktails, as well as a terrific spa offering Indonesian beauty and massage treatments. Also on site is a library and a fine art gallery and gift shop selling local handicrafts.

Activities at Komaneka at Monkey Forest

Komaneka can organise a whole range of activities and tours for you from the hotel, including trekking and cycling routes, day tours to the surrounding temples and villages, or rafting trips for the adventurers. They also host a number of special dinners, including a full moon and new moon dinner, and charming tree top picnics. In Ubud itself, you can browse the vast selection of stalls and shops that sell arts and crafts of all shapes and sizes. And of course, no visit to Ubud would be complete without a stroll through the great monkey forest.
