Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan sits in lush tropical gardens on the banks of the Ayung River in Bali’s cultural highlands, around 15 minutes from Ubud.

Rooms at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan

Spanning a landscape littered with wooden bridges, rice paddies, meditation ponds and herb gardens, the suites and villas are secluded and spacious, with gorgeous views. Each one is designed to reflect the natural beauty of the surrounding area, so expect teak furnishings, traditional Balinese decor and terrazzo-tiled bathrooms. Private terraces and pools look out over the river and beyond.

Food & Drink

The Ayung Terrace restaurant offers a range of gourmet Indonesian dishes, which make the most of vegetables and herbs from the gardens. For a special occasion, we recommend a romantic candlelit dinner by the rooftop lotus pond. At the Riverside Café on the banks of the Ayung River, you can dine on fresh fish, wood-fired pizzas and burgers by the pool and amongst the giant river stones.

Have afternoon high tea and evening cocktails on the terrace at the elegant Jati Bar, looking out over the valley.

Facilities

Retreat to the spa for a soothing Balinese Ayuvedic treatment, have a refreshing swim in split-level riverside pool or unwind with some yoga or meditation.

Activities at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan

The activities are designed with the hotel's stunning natural setting in mind. Explore the local area by bike or learn about some of Bali’s indigenous plants in the gardens. Around the area, adventure-seekers will enjoy a Mount Batur trek or some river rafting, or you stroll through the rice paddies, visit temples and villages or meet the local spiritual healer. If you have children in tow, they will love meeting the inhabitants of the local wildlife parks, such as elephants and monkeys.

There is a daily shuttle bus into the centre of Ubud, with its shops, markets and galleries, and back at the hotel, you can watch traditional Balinese dance and music performances.
