Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

COMO Uma Canggu is in Canggu on Bali’s beautiful southern coast, with unbeatable views over the Indian Ocean and Canggu’s celebrated surf beaches. On the other side, lush forest extends into the island’s interior.

Rooms at COMO Uma Canggu

The hotel’s rooms and suites have a contemporary, minimalist feel, with clean lines, pine furniture and a sandy colour scheme. The beautiful bathrooms are decked out in light marble and dark mosaic, and Studio Rooms have large balconies from which to take in views of the forest or ocean. Garden Patio Rooms open onto a private outdoor area and, in true Balinese style, feature outdoor showers.

The larger Residences offer great access to the surf, while ultimate luxury can be found in the penthouses, which feature rooftop pools, private butler service and supreme Indian Ocean views.

Food & Drink

At the COMO Beach Club, you’ll find gourmet takes on classic beach shack cuisine. The food is deliberately simple and done well, with wood-fired grills and fresh seafood taking pride of place on the menu. Meals are accompanied by a soundtrack of live acoustic musicians or a DJ.

The Beach Club Bar is the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail or mocktail while relaxing in a swing chair and gazing out over the ocean. If you’re on a health kick, the Glow Juice Bar sells cold-pressed juices and smoothies alongside light healthy snacks.

Facilities

The COMO Shambhala Spa offers a range of wellness therapies and activities combining Eastern traditions with cutting-edge science. Massages, facials and body baths are on offer, drawing on centuries of Balinese wellness wisdom, while yoga, pilates and meditation are among the more active pursuits on offer. There’s also a fully equipped gym.

Activities at COMO Uma Canggu

Outdoor activities are high on the agenda here, with Canggu particularly famous for its surf beaches. The local breaks are very varied, meaning there’s something for everyone – experienced surfers love it here, but it’s also a great place to learn, and lessons are available at the hotel.

On dry land, trips to the crater of the spectacular Mount Batur are on offer, with adventurous guests able to freewheel back down on a mountain bike. Cycle tours will take you through the emerald rice paddies inland to the temple of Tirta Empul. The spectacular sea temple of Tanah Lot, Bali’s most photographed spot, is a short drive away.
