Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Amankila sits on Bali’s eastern coast, in the shadow of the mighty Mount Agung.

Rooms at Amankila

Labyrinths of wooden walkways lead you through to Amankila’s stunning suites, set on stilts amidst the frangipani and bougainvillea. Inspired by traditional palaces, they have panoramic views of the ocean or the jungle, comfy daybeds to lounge on, coconut-shell tables, and individual bales (pavilions), they are simply beautiful. Some have their own private infinity pools and butler service - the ultimate indulgence.

Food & Drink

The ocean-view restaurant showcases local cuisine, made with fresh ingredients including just-caught fish, herbs from Amankila's garden and fruit and vegetables grown in the rich volcanic soils beneath Mount Agung.

As the sun sets over the sea, enjoy exotic cocktails and locally-made arak by the pool.

Facilities

Indulge in a traditional Balinese massage or body wrap, or enjoy a yoga session on the beachfront pavilion. The three infinity pools terraced into the cliff offer spectacular views of the Lombok Strait. After a day of relaxing by the pool, indulge in a private dinner on the beach with your own personal chef and waiter to attend to your every need. The entire Beach Club is reserved for one couple at a time, ensuring intimacy and total privacy. Spend some time lazing under the coconut palms.

Activities at Amankila

As well as paddle boarding, diving and sailing in the pristine waters, head further afield to immerse yourself in this fascinating part of Bali – raft the rapids of the Telaga Waja River, trek through the paddy fields and small textile villages, spot tigers at the Bali Safari and Marine Park and visit the historic Karangasem palaces that Amankila takes inspiration from.
