Hotel Overview

Sense of place

The hotel has a striking, modern design, combined with Chinese elements, obvious as soon as you walk in to its towering central lobby and further evident in the modern artworks which decorate its sleek corridors. In terms of setting, the hotel sits in the Liangma area of Beijing’s central business district, and is perfectly placed for exploring the cultural and historical attractions of the Chinese capital.

Rooms at Four Seasons Beijing

The hotel’s 313 rooms and suites share a stylish, contemporary design and a luxurious feel, with plush beds, chairs and sofas and rich dark wood furnishings. The aesthetic is broadly modern, but traditional Chinese touches are evident in features such as intricately carved mahogany screens. The accommodations are spacious, with the Four Seasons Room featuring a walk-in wardrobe; they all boast stunning views over Beijing, with some overlooking Chaoyang Park.

Food & drink

With two signature restaurants and three additional lounges to choose from, there’s no shortage of dining options at Four Seasons Beijing. The elegant Cai Yi Xuan offers traditional Cantonese cuisine in a smart casual environment, while the welcoming Mio serves up hearty home-style Italian cuisine, such as wood-fired pizzas and pasta dishes. For light seafood plates accompanied by a wide selection of beers and wines, head to the grand Equis, modelled after an Imperial court, or make your way to the Opus Bar for a more relaxed cocktail. The Opus Lounge is also open all day, and serves a range of Western and Asian dishes as well as afternoon tea.

Facilities

The hotel’s stunning spa offers no end of ways to relax and recharge your batteries, with a range of traditional and modern therapies drawing on Chinese and international techniques. The spa’s signature treatments include tea oil massages, bamboo face masks and herbal baths, followed by a traditional Gongfucha tea ceremony in the tea garden. The hotel also has a beautiful indoor pool, which is glass-walled to afford panoramic views over Beijing.

Activities at Four Seasons Beijing

Four Seasons’ concierge will happily help you arrange a variety of activities to ensure you make the most of your stay in Beijing. If you’re after a cultural fix, try the National Centre for the Performing Arts, where you’ll find classical music, theatre and dance from across China and beyond. History buffs will relish the opportunity to visit the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, while for a bit of peace you should make for the Temple of Heaven Park, which is every bit as serene as it sounds. Further afield, a trip to the Great Wall – an easy day trip from Beijing – is an unmissable part of any trip to China, and will see you experiencing one of the true wonders of the world.
