Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The Anantara Angkor Resort is in Siem Reap, just 15 minutes from Angkor Wat.

Rooms at Anantara Angkor Resort

There are 39 beautiful and spacious suites, housed in an attractive Khmer-style villa, with traditional Khmer design fusing with contemporary flair. Inside you’ll find handcrafted teak furnishings, hand-carved sandstone features and colourful local textiles alongside beds with goose-down duvets, lounge areas with LCD TVs and elegant bathrooms with rainshowers. As well as a mini-bar, you can enjoy daily fresh fruit and savoury and sweet treats from the chef.

Floor-to-ceiling windows flow through to private balconies and terraces, overlooking the pool and gardens, and some suites have their own private gardens. The Jim Thompson Explorer Suite is named after the intrepid explorer, and has an in-suite spa and a private plunge pool surrounded by lush greenery.

Food & Drink

The Chi Restaurant & Bar offers delicious traditional Khmer cuisine with a modern twist, utilising local organic produce, including market-fresh ingredients and flavours. You can also enjoy tapas and snacks in the L Lounge, while being entertained by dance and music performances, or for an extra-special dining experience, try Anantara’s signature Dining by Design, where you can create your own bespoke dining experience in spectacular locations such as a secluded temple.

Cooking classes are available if you’d like to learn how to create Khmer specialities yourself.

There is a blissful spa perfect for unwinding in after a day exploring the ruins, with a range of signature treatments on offer in its spa suites and massage rooms, and there’s also a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. Relax with some yoga in the rooftop garden, or have a dip in the saltwater pool, followed by a poolside cocktail.

Activities at Anantara Angkor Resort

Angkor Wat is an obvious highlight, and you can explore the complex with Anantara’s expert Temple Gurus, but there’s so much else to do and see too, with many other historic treasures and beautiful landscapes on the doorstep. Discover them with personalised tailor-made experiences: trek or horse ride around rice paddies and jungles dotted with temples and ruins, take the complimentary tuk tuk to Siem Reap and browse its markets on a private tour, hop on a boat to discover flooded forests and one of the region’s largest bird sanctuaries, or take to the skies for unforgettable views over Angkor.
