In the knowArchitect Bill Bensley teamed up with local government and conservation activists to create an eco-conscious camp that helps to prevent poaching, mining and logging in the area. The camp also uses organic and fresh produce sourced from the Shinta Mani Foundation, to which a proportion of room rates are allocated to, and in working with the foundation, the camp provides employment opportunities for local people.

Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Bensley Collection - Shinta Mani Wild is a one-of-a-kind glamping retreat, set amidst lush rainforest landscapes and waterways between the national parks of Bokor, Kirirom and Cardamom.

Rooms at Bensley Collection - Shinta Mani Wild

The camp’s 15 tents are raised above the ground over the water, guaranteeing exceptional views over the river and waterfalls. Each tent has been custom-designed by Bensley himself to provide a different and unique experience, and he combines local colours, fabrics and artefacts such as Khmer ornaments with luxury design elements to create a ‘Jackie O meets Cambodian safari’ vibe. As well as plush beds and eye-catching furniture, the tents have terraces with sofas to relax on and outdoor freestanding bathtubs for you to indulge in after a long day of activities.

If there’s anything you need, your Bensley Butler is on hand 24 hours a day.

Food & drink

Meals can be served in your tent or you can head to the Waterfall restaurant, which is perched above the biggest waterfall on the camp. Enjoy traditional Khmer food made with fresh local ingredients - you can join the chef as he forages from the surrounding forests, followed by a cooking class. Have a drink at the Landing Zone bar while admiring the views, and learn how to mix irresistible cocktails.

Facilities

Cool down in the central swimming pool, and for a spot of pampering, visit the Boulders spa, whose blissful Khmer-inspired treatments use natural and chemical-free products.

Activities at Bensley Collection - Shinta Mani Wild

Bensley Collection - Shinta Mani Wild is a camp designed with adventure in mind, so you can be assured boredom won’t be an issue here.
