Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Song Saa Private Island lies secluded in the untouched Koh Rong Archipelago.

Rooms at Song Saa Private Island

The 24 huge ocean-view, jungle and overwater villas each come with their own infinity pool, private deck and furniture hand-carved from driftwood overlooking the open ocean. Each villa is a work of art, with contemporary features such as big, soft daybeds mixed in with traditional Cambodian touches. Mod cons include Bose surround sound systems and iPod and Android docking stations, while the jungle and overwater two-bedroom villas have a kitchen and mojito-making station. All the villas come with a 'Guest Experience Ambassador' to tend to your every need.

The Royal Villa is found in the most secluded and picturesque area, positioned over water: with a private Guest Experience Ambassador, the two-bedroom villa offers even more personalisation.

Food & Drink

Song Saa’s executive chef brings a unique sensuality and style to Cambodian cuisine, a fusion of modern and traditional recipes crafted from the very best local produce, down to the sea salt. The ingredients are fresh and sustainable, and 80% are locally sourced, creating a menu truly inspired by its surroundings.

Song Saa has five dining options, and you can dine indoors or al fresco. The Vista Overwater Restaurant & Lounge is a scenic place, surrounded by the reef and marine reserve, where you can enjoy western and Cambodian cuisine and drinks from the lounge throughout the day. On the beach, Driftwood Bar & Kitchen has a more rustic vibe and offers pizza and tapas-style food. Relax by the pool and choose your meal from either of Vista and Driftwood's menus. If you would prefer more privacy there is in-villa dining, or for a special occasion, destination dining in a secluded, hideaway spot can be arranged.

Facilities

Song Saa's spa has no walls and can be found across the island in little 'sanctuaries'. The sancturiaries follow the concept of metta bhavana and Buddhist practices and you can choose from a menu of thoughtful selected and curated treatments. Following the three central themes of stillness, healing and blessings the traditional Khmer therapists, yogis, reiki mastes use natural products derived from wild local ingredients.

Activities at Song Saa Private Island

To get the most out of your time here, join a complimentary morning yoga class before heading out to explore the marine park and jungle. Snorkel over the tropical reef, or kayak through the mangroves. The diving is impeccable here, with an unspoilt reef and an abundance of underwater species. Conservation and community work is integral to Song Saa and you can contribute and learn more through the variety of unique activities offered, including a monk's blessing and village visits.
