Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

With lush tropical jungle on one side and the Gulf of Thailand on the other, Six Senses Krabey Island is a perfect tropical island retreat. It may be just a short journey from the airport, but it is far enough away on an unspoilt island to be quiet, peaceful, and shrouded in dark night skies - so you get the best of both worlds.

Rooms at Six Senses Krabey Island

The resort’s eye-catching villas blend contemporary steel and glass exteriors with more traditional Southeast Asian design features, like wooden shutters and woven bamboo furniture. Colourful wall art depicts animals and plants, woven rugs sit on light wood floors, and glass walls look out into the jungle or over the sea. Step outside and you’ll find a deck with a private plunge pool, with sun loungers where you can kick back and take in the stupendous views.

For the ultimate in exclusivity, opt for the Beach Retreat, which comes with its own private stretch of sand.

Food & Drink

There are several different dining venues at Six Senses Krabey Island, spread across the resort and offering distinct menus which showcase the best cuisine from across Asia and beyond. The AHA restaurant is a relaxed spot overlooking the ocean, where you’ll find gourmet pan-Asian flavours which harness the bounty of the sea and the Cambodian countryside to impressive effect.

For a more locally-focused experience, head to the Tree restaurant, a stylish spot set in the jungle with a wood-carved honeycomb ceiling hung with eye-catching weaver bird's nest lights. Here you can try classic Khmer dishes, like fish amok (curry cooked in banana leaves) and bai sach chrouk (barbecue pork with rice). Learn the secrets of Khmer cuisine on an expert-led cookery class.

For dessert, visit the Ice Cream Parlor & Deli for homemade gelato and sorbet, while for an evening cocktail the place to be is the Sunset Bar, where you can drink in the spectacular views out over the Gulf of Thailand.

Facilities

It wouldn’t be a Six Senses resort without a beautiful spa. Taking inspiration from Cambodia’s life-giving Kbal Spean River, the spa is decorated with water and ripple motifs, and offers rejuvenating wellness therapies from traditional Khmer massages to body wraps and facials. There’s also a pool, or unwind in the meditation cave or with a yoga session.

Activities at Six Senses Krabey Island

You’d be forgiven for giving in to the laid-back atmosphere here and wanting to do nothing more than relax in the spa or chill out by your villa’s private pool. If you’re feeling energetic, though, there’s plenty to keep you busy. Go snorkelling, kayaking and paddle boarding to explore the island’s stunning coastline, or enjoy a leisurely boat trip. If you have the family in tow, there is a kids club (for 4-12 year-olds) to keep them entertained.

Back at the resort, stroll along the ocean boardwalk at sunset and watch a classic movie on a big outdoor screen under the stars - don't miss the chance to do some stargazing as the starry skies are spectacular here.
