Hotel Overview

SENSE OF PLACE

Koh Russey Villas & Resort is located on the private island of Koh Russey, which is found to the south of Cambodia’s coast in the Koh Rong archipelago. In the local Khmer language, ‘Russey’ means bamboo, and the island is covered in lush bamboo plants and fringed by unspoilt beaches.

ROOMS AT KOH RUSSEY VILLAS & RESORT

All of the accommodation, including Garden, Ocean and Beach Pavilions and one and two-bedroom villas, are nestled amidst the jungle and are steps from the beach.

The interiors are light, airy and spacious, thanks to their large windows and high ceilings. The minimalist, unobtrusive design is inspired by traditional Khmer Krama patterns, showcasing local materials and craftsmanship in the sleek hardwood floors and dark volcanic stone features, including natural stone bathrooms, alongside plush furnishings and ikat cushions.

The expansive decks bring the outside in and look out over the beach, the ocean and the landscaped gardens. All rooms have private gardens or terraces, and some also have private pools and 24-hour butler service.

FOOD & DRINK

The poolside restaurant serves up delicious international breakfasts and French-inspired dinners, featuring fresh ingredients grown in the hotel's organic fruit and vegetable gardens. Alternatively, head to the beachside restaurant for Khmer dishes and Asian favourites, with the catch of the day perfectly cooked on the open grill.

FACILITIES

As well as enjoying the beachfront pool, the resort’s private stretch of beach, and snorkelling in the sea, you can unwind in the spa. Bespoke treatments utilise ancient Asian healing techniques and natural ingredients such as coconut oil and Khmer herbs to pamper from head to toe. There is also a yoga studio and a fitness centre.

ACTIVITIES AT KOH RUSSEY VILLAS & RESORT

From visiting riverside towns, markets and cave temples to island hopping and venturing into the jungle-clad mountains of Bokor National Park, there is plenty to see and do in the area - although you will find it hard to drag yourself away. In the evening, watch films on the beach at the lovely open-air cinema.
