The Aureum Palace Hotel & Resort is located in the scenic hill town of Pyin Oo Lwin, east of Mandalay, and is an idyllic sanctuary in the highlands of the Mandalay Mountains.

The Governor’s House is split into five gorgeous suites, most a spacious 100 square metres. The décor has colonial influences, with four-poster beds, teak wood furnishes and parquet flooring, and the large windows flood the rooms with light and open out into the lush, well-maintained gardens. The family suites have two large four-poster beds accommodating families of up to four. The Deluxe Bungalow has a lovely open-plan space, combining sleeping quarters with the living area to provide a private and cosy hub, and the Presidential Suite – by far the grandest of the suites – has a private pool.

The restaurant offers beautiful mountain views from the terrace. Feast on authentic Burmese cuisine in style and elegance. After a day exploring, gather round the fire in the evening and enjoy a tasty barbecue, with an opportunity to help prepare and cook your dinner.
