Activities at Amara Mountain Resort

The National Park of Kalaw is a 30-minute walk, a unique mountain forest habitat of hundreds of species of birds, wildlife and plants, including flame-backed woodpeckers, leopards, deer and orchids – enjoy a guided walk to find out more. The national park has been recently developed in co-operation with local hill tribes, with a focus on conservation and sustainability. Around Kalaw, visit the elephant sanctuary, go mountain biking, trekking or birdwatching, and explore fascinating caves. You could also visit local villages and bustling markets, or play a round of golf on the nine-hole course. After a day’s exploring, relax in the spa.
