Rooms at Mandalay Hill Resort

Mandalay Hill’s spectacular rooms and suites are beautifully and traditionally decorated, with dark wood and gilded metalwork complemented by the traditional Burmese artwork which adorns the walls. The Mandalar suite, with views over Mandalay Hill and Irrawaddy Plain, is particularly opulent, while those looking for even more privacy will love the Mandalar villas, nestled in the hotel gardens.

Activities at Mandalay Hill Resort

Mandalay Hill’s central location makes it perfect for exploring the sights of the city, with the magnificent Royal Palace just a stone’s throw away. Climbers and hikers won’t need to travel far for their fix: Mandalay Hill itself is a rewarding climb, and the two giant lion figures who guard the southern entrance to the path lend the ascent a dramatic atmosphere. On the way to the summit, you’ll pass a gigantic Buddha statue and various stupas and pagodas; the path is also home to the world’s largest book, where the Pali Canon is inscribed in stone and each one of the 730 ‘pages’ has its own roof.
